Divine Touch International School Dazzles at Year 2024 annual carnival

Divine Touch International School came out in another dimension as she celebrated humanity during her yearly Cultural Carnival.

The carnival was a very colourful one as each of the seven ethnic groups, Benin, Efik, Fulani, Igbo, Tiv, Urobo, and Yoruba came out with their best performance.

The event started with an opening speech by the school Proprietress, Mrs Sarah Ayeni where she expatiated on the theme of the Carnival- Humanity.

” Humanity suggests that every human being deserves to live, to be loved and valued.” She said.

She said the same spirit of love, unity is what the school is trying to instill in her students where all the students will show love to one another.

The colourful costumes, music and dance depict oneness in Nigeria and our society at large.

The students could not contain their joy and happiness as they shines beautiful at each performance.

After the various activities and performances by each of the ethnic groups, three ethnic groups went home with the trophy.

The First position went to the Fulani Ethnic group, Yoruba Ethnic was the first runner up while the Tiv Ethnic group took the second runner up

The carnival was highly competitive as all the scholars were distributed into 7 Ethnic Groups; Benin, Efik, Fulani, Igbo, Tiv, Urhobo, and Yoruba

They wore colourful attires that depicted their respective ethnicity.

Some of the competitions of the day were : Inter – Ethnic Parade, Inter – Ethnic (Mr & Miss Culture), Inter – Ethnic Cooking Competition, Inter – Ethnic Presentation.

Side attractions were artifacts motorcade and mask parade.

The School Principal, Mr Dayo Ayodele appreciated the esteemed parents for their unflinching support always for the growth and development of the school.

He stressed that the ethnic groups showcased cultural differences in terms of leadership, marriage, dressing, conflict resolution, occupation, food to mention a few.

Mr Ayodele used the opportunity to call on parents to register their wards at Divine Touch International school which is located along Afao Road for sound education and moral services.

Also, the school Head boy, Olorunfemi Abdulatefit and the Head girl, Adedeji Sharon appreciated their parents and students for making the day a success.
