Ekiti 2026: Asewusi Timber Traders endorse Governor Oyebanji for second term, pledge thousands of votes

 

As June 20 gubernatorial election gathers momentum in Ekiti State, members of the Asewusi Timber Traders Association in Atta Ado, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, have unanimously endorsed the State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji for a second term in office, pledging to mobilise thousands of votes in support of his re-election.

The endorsement was made by the leadership and members of the association during a political rally at the Atta Ado axis, where they expressed satisfaction with the governor’s leadership style and development initiatives across the state.

Speaking with journalists, the Chairman of the Association, Phillips Oluwaseun Kehinde, said members of the association had carefully assessed the performance of the Governor’s administration to conclude that he deserved another term to consolidate on his achievements.

Kehinde noted that the governor’s commitment to infrastructural development, support for local businesses and inclusive governance had positively impacted traders and artisans across the state.

According to him, the association, which operates within the Atta Ado timber market would mobilise their families, associates and business partners to ensure the governor secures overwhelming votes from the area.

Also speaking, the Deputy Chairman of the association, Folasade Okanlawon, reaffirmed the group’s commitment to supporting the governor, describing his administration as responsive to the needs of ordinary citizens, including market traders and small-scale business owners.

Okanlawon said the association believed continuity in leadership would allow ongoing developmental projects in the state to be completed and expanded.

She urged residents of the state to continue supporting the administration of Governor Oyebanji, noting that the government had demonstrated dedication to improving the welfare of the people and promoting economic growth.

Other members of the association who spoke with journalists, pledged their loyalty and political support to the governor, assuring that the association would deliver thousands of votes from its members and their networks in the forthcoming election.
