Participatory Governance Makes Oyebanji Popular Among Ekiti Masses- Deputy Gov

Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye, has declared that the elevation of the concept of participatory and all-inclusive governance makes Governor Biodun Oyebanji commands high acceptability among Ekiti masses.

For the acceptability and electrifying popularity to elicit dividends for the populace, Mrs Afuye, charged the members of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) across the state to remain steadfast and loyal to the party.

Mrs Afuye spoke on Wednesday, while attending a ward meeting in lkere Ekiti, her countryhome to galvanise support for the Oyebanji-led government.

Addressing the party’s supporters, Mrs Afuye, in a statement by her Special Assistant(Media), Victor Ogunje, on Thursday, noted that the Oyebanji’s Administration has demonstrated high level of all-inclusive governance that was unprecedented in the history of the state.

Specifically, the Deputy Governor posited that the current APC-led government has not only devolved power, but places high premium value on grassroots development, describing this as the magic wand for Oyebanji’s enigmatic popularity across the strata of the society.

She assured party members and residents that democracy dividends would spread to everyone as the governor keeps recognizing community engagement as a key factor of his administration.

“Governor Oyebanji’s administration is popular because we consider the people at the grassroots as crucial and important to the prosperity of Ekiti State. Whatever work you do as long as it is legitimate, you’re part of us. No small person, no big person, we are all important Ekiti indigenes.

“This administration will continue to demonstrate leadership through its tenet of inclusiveness. Our party members should be united. We should see ourselves as one family. This is the kind of relationship the governor wants for the party and Ekiti state at large”, she said.

Mrs Afuye seized the opportunity to canvass for massive support for the current administration in the state to ensure the sustenance of the various welfare programmes of government.

Also speaking, a commissioner in the Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) ,Dr (Mrs) Funke Fajobi, applauded Mrs Afuye for being a loyal and dependable co-pilot to the Governor.

Fajobi, who spoke on behalf of the women group, applauded the leadership style of the Deputy Governor, noting that her commitment to the welfare of party members in the community has further enhanced the popularity of the party.
