EKSU Alumni Association Makes History, Lays foundation for EKSU ALUMNI CENTRE FOR LEADERSHIP, GOVERNANCE AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP
The Global President of EKSU Alumni Association, Ambassador Seyi Idowu, alongside the BoT Chairman ably represented by the BoT Secretary Dr Isaac Akinleye, the Vice President I, Mrs. Folasade Olusegun Olaofe, and other Global Executives, led the Foundation Laying Ceremony of the Alumni Centre for Leadership, Governance and Entrepreneurship in Ado-Ekiti.
In his remarks, Ambassador Idowu unveiled the vision of the Centre which is planned to have Three (3) conference rooms, One 50-seater hall, Two 30-seater halls, A 100-seater fully digitized hall, Offices and a Gallery (repository of history & preservation wall of fame), and A Mini Library
The ceremony was jointly performed with the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Joseph Babatola Ayodele, who praised the Alumni Association for this landmark initiative.
The event was graced by eminent personalities including Former Global President Dr. Oludotun Adetuberu, DVCs Prof. W. Adebayo (Academics) and Prof. M. O. Oke (Admin), Registrar Mr. Ife Oluwole, Bursar Dr. (Mrs.) Ojobanikan, Librarian Dr. (Mrs.) Aboyade, Former Global President Prof. Mathew Ayeni, Global Secretary Mr. Olumide Abudu, Global PRO Mr. Adetunji Aribasoye, Ex-Officio Barr. Borode Akinyemi, Kogi Chapter Chairman Mr. Sulaiman Nasiru, Dr. Tobi Adeuyi (Former SUG President & GTBank Regional Head of sales), Comrade Icon Akadiri (Director of Protocol), Mr. Ayowande Odetola (Chief of Staff to the President), and Mr. Deji Idowu (PA to the Global President).
This historic project represents a giant step in building a hub for leadership, governance, entrepreneurship, and legacy preservation for all EKSU Alumni.
Amb Seyi Idowu in his closing remarks emphasized that the association is building a Centre of excellence that will stand as a beacon for generations to come.
