“Wow – BAO” roared APC supporters as MOB coins new slogan for Gov Oyebanji

A new slogan “Wow- BAO” was introduced into the Ekiti political lexicon on Wednesday by Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele (Ekiti Central), as he lauded Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s giant strides in the first 100 days of the administration.

Senator Bamidele spoke at a meeting of the Ekiti Central BAO Anchor Group as part of preparations for the February 25 elections, describing Governor Oyebanji’s first 100 days in office as remarkable.

“I want to add another slogan to the many slogans you have for our Governor, His Excellency Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji. When a British man uses the exclamation “wow” for somebody it means that person has done something exceedingly great and awesome.  Our Governor, in his first 100 days has done marvellously well.  He has wowed us with his superlative performance.”, the Senator said.

“So, when we say BAO, you say wow!” For our Governor has performed creditably well.” Said senator Bamidele, who maintained that Governor Oyebanji has set a standard for performance which can only get better by the time the Governor will be marking his 200, 300 days in office; first year, second year and other milestones in office.

Senator Bamidele has hardly finished his speech when the capacity-filled  Jibowu Hall, Government House, Ado – Ekiti, venue of the meeting erupted in a wild jubilation as supporters began to chant the slogan : “BAO- wow” ,  “BAO- wow”, “BAO- wow”…. “Wow- BAO”. “Wow- BAO”, to the admiration of leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) present at the meeting.

Governor Oyebanji , while addressing the gathering, said his administration will achieve a lot more with the election of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President in the February 25 election as well all APC lawmakers at the state and national levels.

Oyebanji tasked APC supporters to commence massive mobilization and ensure that the total number of votes for Tinubu exceed the number he polled during the June 2022 governorship election.

The Governor who bemoaned the plight of the people over the lingering fuel scarcity and the new naira note issue, said the new policy, like any new initiative, would come with some initial challenges. He, however, appealed to the electorate not to punish APC for the development. Instead, he urged them to vote massively for Asiwaju Tinubu, whom he said possesses the requisite knowledge and capacity to lead the country to prosperity.

“ My plea with you is to remain calm. Please don’t punish APC because of this fuel scarcity and new naira note issue. Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has done well for our state. He is the most prepared and most capable to lead our country to prosperity. Whatever we are doing now in terms of development, we shall do much more when Asiwaju becomes President. So, let us vote massively for him and all our state and national assembly candidates “ Governor Oyebanji
